New York is the capital of the World so it is only natural that this great city is home to some of the world's classiest and most exclusive hotels. The Dylan is not an exception. This ultra-hip hotel resides in the heart of midtown Manhattan, conveniently located near the city's most popular tourist attractions and hot spots. Steps away from Grand Central Station, visitors will find it a cinch to get around the city. Guests can easily walk to the Broadway Theatre and the lavish shops of Fifth Avenue. Art lovers will be happy to find that the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum are only a cab ride away.

Elegant Living

With the 11-foot ceilings in the guestrooms, the Dylan offers visitors luxury in a Zen-like atmosphere. The walls are painted in cream and mauve tones, the carpeting is a deep amethyst and the furniture is ebony stained. All of these elements combine to create relaxed surroundings. The Alchemy Suite is the most unique place to stay while visiting the Dylan. Created in 1932, this Gothic chamber mirrors an alchemist's laboratory. The suite's vaulted ceilings and slender columns remind one of times gone past. A beautiful stained glass window encrusted with alchemy symbols, acts as the suite's centerpiece.

The Dylan offers it's guests some of the most extravagant amenities in all of Manhattan. All rooms are equipped with a 27-inch remote controlled Cable television, a modem/data port for computer or fax hookup and two-line telephones with voicemail. Valuables may be stored in the in-room safe. Plush robes, slippers and lavish toiletries await guests in the exquisite bathrooms. Other amenities include an in-room refreshment center, hairdryer, work desk, iron/ironing board, Suite at the DylanAM/FM alarm clock and complimentary daily newspaper. All rooms are individually climate controlled. The Dylan also provides handicap accessible rooms.

Fine Dining

To enjoy some of New York's finest dining, guests need not even leave the Dylan. The Virot is an innovative French Restaurant owned by Didier Virot, who earned acclaim as the executive chef at Jean-Georges. Located in the former ballroom, the Virot serves exquisite food in an elegant atmosphere. The six-foot high stone fireplace and the 20-foot coffered ceilings lend the restaurant an aura of coziness. The Mezzanine Bar, also located in the hotel, is a wonderful place to enjoy cocktails.

In addition to the beautiful rooms and the excellent dining, the Dylan provides guests with additional services to make their stay as enjoyable as possible.
